I replaced my office chair with a ball as part of my "battle of the menopause bulge." I find it to be very comfortable, and especially enjoy the creative boost I get bouncing and rolling my hips on it when I'm writing or designing. One thing I have noticed is that I no longer have problems with my feet and ankles swelling up by the end of the day. I do have to keep an eye on the inflation level, though. Partly because the air conditioning makes my office feel like an icebox. When the ball looses inflation, I notice that my shoulder blades get sore from sitting too low at my desk. Other than that, I've found it very beneficial. Plus, my boss is impressed that I'm constantly on the ball now! (nyuk!)

My bf came home one day and said his 'fit' co-worker used a ball. The next day I took mine to work to try it out. I loved it. I immediately felt more "alive" and less fatigued by 2pm.. I sit at my desk all day and have had chronic back pain. This has helped immensely! I highly recommend to anyone. I also noticed a reduced "love handle" and definitely forces me to sit up. When I broke my foot, I had to change to a regular chair and boy did it hurt walking and I was in a slouch position more often. It was painful going back to a regular chair. Luckily my office just laughed at first, but now they like to come and steal my chair or play with it. I also do like to stretch in my cubby-hole when no one is watching. ;)

I sit on an exercise ball 9 hours a day at work and it's great! I am 7 months pregnant and can not sit on the egonormic chair for more than 5 min without my back starting to hurt. The ball is my best friend, though and no matter how much my co-workers make fun of me, it's so worth sitting on it. There is an added benefit that I can't cross my legs, which is bad for your circulation.
I wish I had discovered this earlier; it would have saved me some serious back pain in my previous pregnancy!
It does take some getting used to, though. I could only sit on it for about an hour a day without losing the correct posture, but now I have no problem sitting on it all day.

I love it. Don't try this if your new. For those of you with excellent balance try sitting in simple crossed legged pose, sit tall pull in your abs rest your palms on the keyboard shelf as you type. It feels like levitating at my keyboard.

I've just begun my ball chair journey today! I was renting my extra bedroom to a friend in need she recently moved out. over the week i've been converting the spare room into my home office/art studio. I've just set up my laptop stand and while comtemplating places to sit my excercise ball caught my eye. I have to admit I have barely used it since I got it! considering all of the hours i spend on my laptop i will being using it all the time! i'm very excited and i look forward to improving my posture and slimming down a little if i'm lucky!

I just bought my stability (exercise) ball. Had used one in physical therapy, and love it. I just went and bounced (gently) on it giggling madly (I'm in my 30s!!). I can definitely slouch on it, but when I do, i sway more, side-to-side, so it does definitely prompt proper posture.

OMG decided to get an exercise ball and pumped it up today. Amazing i love it to pieces, as a games programmer i have spent plenty of time at my computer and was recently thinking more and more about investing in a decent chair as my posture isn't perfect. But i decided to give the ball a go first (£7.49 on ebay)

I'm 6 foot 3 inches tall so i went for the 70cm diameter ball (currently inflated to about 68cm) Can't stop bouncing... for anyone not sure, do it!!!!
