Free Acronis TrueImage if you have a Seagate Hardrive

If you are the owner of a Seagate or Maxtor hard drive, and you have been looking for a good backup utility, you may be in luck. Seagate has partnered up with Acronis (the maker of the great backup utility TrueImage) to offer a free utility very similar to TrueImage for any Seagate or Maxtor hard drives. If you own a Seagate or Maxtor, I strongly suggest you go check out this free utility, you will not regret it.

TrueImage uses the “imaging” method of backup, whereby you create a single large compressed file that is basically an image of your hard drive. After that, you can create incremental backups which only record changes since the last full backup. The advantages of this technique are that if your computer goes buggy or gets a bunch of viruses, you can simply restore your entire harddrive from a previous image. Also, because it backups up everything, you do not have to worry about what files you want to backup.
