I would recommend using flash cards to study. I love http://flash-card-it.blogspot.com/ because it allows me to set up a delayed quiz so I can work on other things while I use it to learn.

i really enjoy studying..wat u gta do is juz read d bbok as if its a story book n it wud be niz..trust me..dun take it as if its academic book but a normal story book..n well participation in class helps..

When the topic is something complicated like mathemathics than i have found it best to learn with one or two partners. So you can explain difficult questions and find a better solution.
Of course with topics that have to to with facts that have to be learned by heart it is better to learn alone.
