		<description>I think that generally the further you go down the church hierachy, the more people do genuinely believe. But I&#039;m skeptical that high ranking clerics, cardinals, bishops, popes, rabbis, mullahs, etc actually believe themselves, althought they may delude themselves into thinking they&#039;re performing a social service for the helpless flock.</description>
