Why you need to start smoking
Allright, I am not a smoker and I will never be a smoker. Of course not, smoking is bad, smoking is unhealthy and smoking is expensive. No, I never wanna encourage smoking either. But sometimes, I am jealous of those smokers. Why? Thanks you ask.
Smokers are always somewhere early. So they can light one before they go inside. And if they are too late, they smoke a cigaret really fast and are still early! The too-late problem is solved. Be early to smoke a cigaret and be on time. No of course, you don’t need to smoke to get on time! How to get on time always Some people think they need to set their watch 5 minutes ahead. Been there, doesn’t work. You will automaticly extract 5 minutes from the time. ‘O, whatever, I am still on time.’ But you haven’t and it doesn’t work, let’s face it. Well, what is the solution? Of course not start smoking. But start to count in little cigaret-minutes. Call them cigmins, if you need a cool name. ‘I have to leave, so I still have my cigmins.’ No one will understand you, but anyway, you are on time. Those five minutes you are ahead, are the minutes that will change your life. No rushing into the building anymore. Not having the baddest seat in the classroom. And the best of all, you aren’t stressed anymore. You are always on time, you are always calm.
No more stress because of your cigaret-minutes, it is almost like smoking itself! This is a post by Stefan Knapen from StudySuccessful.com, a blog about studying successful. I love the title of this post. There are actually other benefits to being a smoker, but overall it is a bad decision. It seems like people are either the type who are always on time or are often late. Those who are often late need to change their planning to accommodate for their lateness.

Being late is nearly as bad a habit as smoking. Being late gives you bad results like poor seating, but it also makes people look down on you. They all made the effort to show up on time, so why should they be interrupted by your tardiness? If it is a regular problem, it can have even worse side effects.

This was a great piece of writing, look I am a smoker and even us smokers can be late we are human after all, but what you have mentioned here is so true we would rather be 10 minutes early so that we can have that last puff of our smoke. I to dislike people that are late and I am sure people dislike it when I am too, but sometimes in life things are also beyond our control.

Being late is something that could happen, but being late always is simply annoying.
And is that true? Are smokers human? Just kidding!

Yes I get particularly annoyed at friends who are late all the time. It’s not that these people are not capable of being on time, it’s just that they are horrible at planning. They simply don’t give themselves sufficient time to get things done.

Your logic is interesting, but I get your point. As an ex smoker I definitely will not recommend it to anybody, for health and economic reasons.

I don’t smoke pot. And I quit smoking cigarettes at least 15 years ago. Smoking doesn’t make a person bad. You are correct Gene H. But let’s stick to the topic and stay off the soap boxes when they miss the point. The question again: Why do people START smoking to begin with?

People! Don’t see this post as a reason to start smoking, I only wanted to show some ‘out-of-the-box’ ways to be on time everytime.
I am against smoking also, don’t worry.

Certainly a few upsides to smoking, however the majority are negative. I would never be a smoker myself.

As a smoker I would not recommend taking up this habit, its really not a good one to have, and no with the new laws in place all over the world, we smokes are been band every where making it impossible to actually be a smoker which I do not blame the new rules it just feels horrible not been able to smoke.

Well I have been smoking since I was 12 years old. I can honestly say I started because I wanted to fit in with a particular crowd. I thought I was cool and it made me feel like a grown up. But now that I am grown I see how stupid my decision was and I regret it everyday. Now I’m pregnant and having a very difficult time stopping because it’s been my stress reliever for the last 6 years. So I completely agree with you.

I am a smoker. I don’t encourage people to start.
However, I don’t believe in the “five minutes fast” for resetting my clocks. I’m perfectly capable of having enough time for things, but actually setting my clocks on the correct time.
I’ve never needed to set my clocks ahead to cheat myself into being on time. It’s stupid. Learn how to tell time, to stuff on time, and get there on time.
Then again, my career choice does mean I have to be on time at an exact time (radio).

I know this can get heated, but I am curious. I realize how addicting smoking is and how it is very hard to quit. I sympathize with people who try and have trouble with it.
