Update: Microsoft Office for $60 Deal Resumes

A while back we talked about The Ultimate Steal, a promotion by Microsoft which lets college students purchase Microsoft Office Ultimate 2007 for a hugely discounted price of $60. It ended this April, but the folks at Microsoft have kindly decided to rekindle to promotion for this year’s freshmen. If you are in university, this is a deal you cannot afford to miss. At $60, that’s a 91% discount off shelf price. The deal is available in the US and Canada, but is also available in other countries for a different price. Hurry over and get it before it expires.

Here in Brazil Microsoft offers Microsoft Office 2007 Home and Student (which includes Word, Excel and Powerpoint) for about 60 dollars. In my point of view, that’s a pretty good offer.

Also for military students, Office 2007 is oftentimes available at the PX or NEX for about $70 under a similar military license deal.

A great resource indeed. But lets remember that since most of us are college students, many of our respective universities offer fantastic discounts on many software that we will need throughout our studies.

I purchased Windows Vista, Microsoft Office, and Visual studio for $10 each at my school. Fantastic price, huh?
